2. Repeating the same stories
It’s normal to have cherished memories, but repeating the same anecdote over and over can tire your listeners. Vary your conversations and listen to others as well.
Many older adults feel the need to constantly correct or advise others. Even with good intentions, it can sometimes be perceived as scolding or constant criticism.
4. Not accepting help
Refusing help out of pride can jeopardize your safety and frustrate your loved ones. Accepting support doesn’t make you weak, it makes you wise.
