A home remedy using aluminum foil that could save your phone screen

It always happens at the worst possible moment: your phone screen suddenly stops responding. You can no longer swipe, write a message, or answer an important call. Before you panic or rush to a repair shop, did you know that something as common as a sheet of aluminum foil could save the day?

No, it’s not magic, but a  clever home remedy  to try before anything else.

Why aluminum foil?

You probably use it every day to store food or cover a dish in the oven. But what you might not know is that aluminum foil is also a  good conductor of static electricity . And it’s precisely this property that could temporarily reset the malfunctioning touch areas of your screen.

In case of  minor malfunctions related to calibration or poor touch detection , this tip can sometimes  prove effective .

How to proceed? Very simple instructions

No special tools or technical skills are needed. Here’s what you need:

Ingredients :

  • A sheet of aluminum foil (food grade, standard)
  • Your phone (even if the screen is unresponsive)
  • A little patience… and that’s all!

Steps to follow:

  1. Cut a piece of aluminum foil large enough to cover the entire surface of the screen.
  2. Carefully place this sheet on the screen, shiny side outwards.
  3. Using your fingers, make light circular movements, as if you were massaging the screen. Focus on the less responsive areas.
  4. Repeat this action for 10 to 20 seconds, without pressing too hard.
