While my neighbors were on vacation, they left me a voicemail message asking if I could wrap their door handle in aluminum foil.
They didn’t say why, and they sounded rushed, so I agreed without giving it much thought.
Standing on her porch with the aluminum foil in my hand, I felt a little silly. Nevertheless, I carefully wrapped the handle, making sure it stayed securely in place. On the way home, I wondered what the point of that strange request had been.
