Then Linda bought a new car. Then my cousins started piano lessons.

Tennis.

Tutors.

One day, I pointed at the piano case and asked,

I learned to stop asking questions after that.

A week later, Linda told me I was going to boarding school.

“It’s for your own good,” she said.

I didn’t know what to say.

When I graduated, I went back to my parents’ house.
