At first, these were short meetings in cafés, then negotiations behind closed doors. She asked them to help her regain control of the company, promising them a share of future stock.

With the help of her old allies, Laura gradually ruined Mark’s affairs: deals collapsed, trusted people left, contracts lost their power. Each action seemed like an accident, but in reality it destroyed his position.
