How to use it correctly?
- Gradually engage the handbrake to slow down smoothly.

- Stabilized shoulder or clearing.
- Uphill (which naturally slows the vehicle down).
Avoid:
- Avoid stopping suddenly in the middle of a highway.
- Avoid sharp turns to avoid an obstacle (risk of rolling over).
Use external elements to slow down in case of an emergency
As a last resort, use external elements to reduce your speed.
- A safety barrier (without sharp angles).
- A grassy embankment.
- Curb edges (beware of loss of control).
Absolutely avoid trees and walls, they’re too dangerous!
Inform other drivers about your problem
Make sure other drivers understand the critical situation.
- Activate your hazard lights immediately.
- Use the horn if necessary to alert vehicles around you.
- Wave a cloth or your arm out of the window to signal an emergency.
This allows other drivers to react promptly and give you space.
