Republican lawyer Mike Davis, former legal counsel to Senator Chuck Grassley, has spent three years advocating for federal criminal investigations into Barack Obama and other Democratic officials. With Bondi’s authorization of new investigations, Davis suggests that his “long-pursued objective may finally be within reach,” according to NBC News reporting.
Bondi has already authorized federal criminal investigations into New York Attorney General Letitia James and Senator Adam Schiff, while directing a federal prosecutor to convene a grand jury examining whether Obama administration officials violated laws in their Russia investigation assessments.
