I raised an eyebrow. “So they’re just… stuck?”
“Pretty much. She’s blaming the venue.
I sipped my tea. “Sounds like a match made in hell.”
Mia snorted.
“It’s a mess. And I love it for them.”
I looked out the window. The sky was soft and blue, streaked with gold.
“I spent so long thinking I lost everything,” I said quietly.
“But maybe I didn’t lose anything worth keeping.”
