Tom took another deep breath.
“I’m leaving you, Karen. I’ll have the divorce papers drawn up next week.”
Karen’s eyes went wide with shock. “You can’t be serious!
Tom, you’re being dramatic! You’re embarrassing me in front of everyone!”
“Dead serious,” Tom said. He walked over to my mom, who was still standing there covered in mud, looking absolutely stunned.
“Donna, you deserve so much better than this. Let’s get you cleaned up.”
