“You keep saying that like it’s a free pass to take advantage of me.

She tore the invoice down, crumpling it.

“No. found my boundaries.”
Her eyes shifted to the calendar. “What’s this supposed to be?”
“My future side business.
Morning childcare. Turns out I’m actually pretty good with kids. But my clients would schedule in advance and pay appropriately.”
“You’re turning this into a business? You’re making money off your family?”
“No, Daphna. You already made it a transaction when you started treating me like an employee you didn’t have to pay.
