This role required a level of vulnerability and realism that stood in stark contrast to the glossy narratives that once defined her most commercially successful work. Barbara Weston is not designed to be charming or likable in conventional ways. She is flawed, emotionally exhausted, and often confrontational—a character shaped by years of disappointment and complicated love.
