Effects and risks of sleeping pills
According to WHO data, people who take sleeping pills, particularly benzodiazepines, have a significantly higher risk of premature death. Even taking 18 doses per year increases this risk by 3.5 times. The higher the dose, the greater the danger.
Furthermore, sleeping pills have been shown to increase blood pressure. Therefore, the WHO recommends that people who take them regularly consult a doctor to have their blood pressure checked.
