“We have already explained the reason for the bandage on President Trump’s hand,” Leavitt said. “He regularly shakes hands with many people and is also taking aspirin, which can lead to bruising on the back of the hand.”
This latest explanation from the White House is largely consistent with statements made several months ago, when President Trump was seen with a noticeable bruise on the back of his right hand that had been covered with heavy makeup.
